Pre-school
​
Free pre-primary schooling is provided for every child from the age of 2 years and 6 months. In most schools children can start school as soon as they reach this age.

Boys and girls do not get separated in pre-school. It’s very important for children of this age to learn to cope with the behaviour of the different sex.
Primary school
​
Primary schooling is provided for very child from the age of 6.
Education in primary school is rather traditional: it concentrates on reading, writing and basic mathematics. The most important subject in every school is: religion.

Primary school consists of six years and the subjects taught are generally the same at all schools. Boys and girls are not allowed to go to the same primary schools in D’Oradius.
Secondary education
​
When graduating from primary school around the age of 12, students enter secondary education. Here they have to choose a course that they want to follow, depending on their skill level and interest. Boys and girls go to separate schools because the subjects taught are very different in the schools. All the schools have one subject in common: Religion.

The boys’ schools grant the pupils more choice as they get older. Boys get a very broad, general education preparing for higher education.
Girls get a very practical and very job specific education. They learn all about the household, how to cook, clean, read recipes and how to take care of children.

Higher education
​
Universities and Colleges provide D’Oradius’ higher education. Girls are not allowed to study at these schools. Only boys with a qualifying diploma of secondary education are free to enrol at any institute of higher education of their choosing.
Boys get the chance to pursue a degree in: medicine/dentistry, arts, engineering sciences and management sciences. The registrations fee for any university or college is between 5.000 and 10.000 golden coins a year. Only the fee of ‘farming’ is fixed by the government.
